Opportunity Description

To manage Centralized operation functions and ensuring efficient, productive and cost effective services are provided to internal and external customers by adhering to internal (Operating Procedures) and external (Central Bank) laid down guidelines. To manage effectively and transparently people in area of control such that they are productive and engaged and manage stakeholders by fostering robust partnerships with them.

Accountabilities-

• Ensure all transactions and documents being processed by Central Operations Department are within internal and external regulations.

• Co-ordinate, direct and control internal and external resources within the department to ensure achievement of planned performance at required standards and within budgeted cost, so that customers are provided with a high quality and cost efficient service.

• Ensure no operational losses happen due to errors or lapse in laid down controls.

• Ensure that all control mechanisms are in place, all internal and external guidelines are followed and all “Online Operating Procedures” are updated.

• Manage the development of MI for the department/business unit and ensure the accuracy and timeliness in the preparation and submission of reports to appropriate entities, ensuring compliance with policies and applicable regulations.

• Direct the process of effective department/business unit performance, overseeing the appraisal, recruitment, development and training of team members to ensure their individual and collective performance meets or exceeds the required standard.

• Foster and promote a culture of team working within the division and across other departments, leading by example and acting as a positive role model.

• Monitor performance of the department/business unit against the agreed budget and address any variances to ensure alignment to it.

• Identify opportunities (like automation, Re-engineering & outsourcing) for improvement of processes wherever required which will reduce cost for the Bank.

Skills

Qualification :

Higher Diploma (UAE National)/ University Degree or Equivalent (Expat)

Experience

Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in Banking operations field preferably in supervisory and team managing roles.
