Assistant Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking

Opportunity Description

  • To assist RMs / SRMs in maintaining client relationship, Credit Proposal writing, Industry analysis/reports, legal documentation, in addition to resolving day to day issues, ensuring the coverage team’s involvement in operational issues is brought to a minimum.
  • Liaise regularly with various departments including but not limited to Risk, Credit, Treasury, Ops, Legal and Compliance etc. within the bank and manage requests and enquiries pertaining to transactions and/or documentation.
  • Ensuring nil Document Deficiencies, and monitoring covenants.
  • Attend to the clients’ enquiries and coordinate with various service departments to ensure resolution in a timely manner
  • Attend to specific projects / tasks assigned from time to time
  • Maintaining proper records of client communication.
  • Maintaining updated MIS reports for the Unit by coordinating with the SRMs at all times.
  • Explore and highlight business opportunities in the Unit portfolio.
  • Carries out designated operational duties, recommends improvements in the current processes and ensures adherence to timelines, process and procedures with high degree of accuracy whilst providing excellent customer service that enables department to achieve high performance standards without compromising on desired quality standards.
  • Performs business tasks as required by line manager to support smooth operation of the Unit.
  • Carries out development and implementation of effective risk-based monitoring program to ensure operational business delivery complies with regulatory practice and ensures awareness to the relevant policies and compliance with pertinent regulations.
  • Contributes proactively to the delivery of planned projects as directed by management to achieve targeted business objectives/change initiatives while coordinating and prioritizing project tasks, adhering to timelines and project plan, and communicating project status to project management.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of corporate banking experience.
  • Financial statement analysis and forecasting.
  • In-depth understanding of business, economic and industry risk.
  • Thorough awareness of various financial products and services.
  • Abreast to financial news and trends.
  • Credit proposal writing.
  • Clear understanding of Bank’s credit policy and SOPs.
  • Basic computer application including but not limited to MS Office, Other core banking system, Moodys Risk Analyst.
