About the role
You will be responsible for authorizing customer requests and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders. This includes adhering to defined Turnaround Times (TAT), Service Level Agreements (SLA), internal operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines set by the Central Bank. You will report to Associate Vice President, Retail Banking Credit and will be involved with cross-functional teams and external partners to facilitate seamless mortgage loan disbursements and related operational tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing and validating mortgage offer letters signed by customers for approved cases.
- Scrutinizing third-party documents and proceeding with loan disbursement upon verification.
- Authorizing disbursements in core banking systems (Retail Banking System, Finacle, Flexcube).
- Approving issuance of manager’s cheques to relevant parties for property transfers.
- Releasing equity to customers post receipt of title and mortgage contracts.
- Managing partial settlements and ensuring no cash payouts exceed approved amounts.
- Monitoring life insurance premium assignments and maintaining MIS records.
- Ensuring control reports are reviewed, actioned, and filed for audit purposes.
- Performing operational tasks with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining high service standards.
- Verifying daily reports and preparing periodic returns within scheduled timelines.
- Preventing operational losses by adhering to control mechanisms and escalating risks.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting team competency development and business continuity planning.
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in supervisory roles within the banking sector, preferably in operations.
- Industry: Strong understanding of retail banking operations, mortgage processing, and regulatory compliance.
