Job Purpose
To manage and grow a portfolio of Business Finance relationship by meeting or exceeding budgeted sales and services targets within acceptable risk standards as detailed in the policy guidelines through strong relationships management skills, effective service delivery and credit presentations with balanced risk/ reward structure.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Business development
1. To identify, market and book new business( asset and liability with focus on commission income) while developing and increasing the share of wallet of existing business relationships
2. To work closely with the Wealth Management & Direct Sales tem in order to maximize cross sell opportunities.
3. To provide market feedback and formulate innovative customer offerings.
4. To meet the financial tergets.
Credit
1. To be the first stage of Credit Analysis responsible for initial preparation/ review of credit applications and renewals.
2. To proactively identify problems at an early stage and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
3. To manage the portfolio to avoid concentration risk.
Control
1. To ensure that credit applications are reviewed and renewed on time.
2. To ensure that clients conform to the Bank’s compliance criteria.
3. To have in place early alert mechanisms for Credit.
4. To ensure that processes/ controls are adhered as per the Bank’s guidelines
People
1. Ensure that coordination with peers and support staff is effective.
Skills
Education level required:
University Degree for expats and higher diploma or equivalent qualifications for Nationals
Professional Qualifications:
Banking Diploma/AIB
Sales and Marketing degree / diploma preferable
Work experience:
3-5 years experience in Branch Banking, Operations and Relationship Management or Customer Service preferably in a similar HNWI Relationship Management job
Personal Banking Credit Skills.
Specialist skills required for the job:
1. Knowledge of local legal system as applicable to Banking
2. Anti-Money Laundering guidelines and ability to source only legitimate business
3. Local Commercial Banking practise
4. Awareness of Central Bank guidelines & regulations
5. Good leadership, communication, negotiation and impersonal skills.
6. Good computer skills with the ability to generate and interpret MIS
7. Should have a good knowledge of RAKBANK retail products
8. HNWI Relationship Management Skills
