Senior Officer – Compliance Monitoring

Job Purpose

• The key purpose of this role is the Implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP) to provide assurance on the efficiency and effectiveness of Financial Crime compliance controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze data and controls to identify the key risk items for FCRA.
• Assist in identifying and escalating problem areas and risks associated with processes and make recommendations to improve quality of work.
• Document findings within timescales while adhering to all appropriate process and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policy, procedures, standards and reporting requirements, plus any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Identify and initiate improvements to work, customer service, quality, work processes and organisational matters in order to contribute to business efficiency goals.
• Undertake a wide range of data gathering and analysis, identifying risks and / or the development of solutions in order to meet the business requirements.
• Maintain issues tracking records for all monitored segments of the Bank.
• Prepare MIS reports requested by management.

• Analytical and Reasoning skills
• Understanding of AML/CFT risks
• Strong understanding of the Banking Operations, products/services
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Ability to work under pressure and accomplish tasks assigned within tight deadline
• Strong ability to understand and navigate a complex technological and operational environment
• 4 plus years of experience in Audit, AMLCTF
