RAKBANK is seeking a proactive and results-driven Senior Officer (Business Continuity Management) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day management and handling Business Continuity activities of RAKBANK. Work closely with business and BCM coordinators to complete BCM activities while adhering to internal requirements and external regulatory (CBUAE) guidelines and BCM standards. Participate in the development, validation, maintenance and monitoring of standards and plans for business continuity and crisis management of the Bank.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conduct business impact and dependency analysis of processes or system non-availability.
  • Prepare BCP templates for information gathering and data analysis.
  • Conduct discussions with Managers and other staff of the bank in gathering information on current practices and procedures.
  • Document recovery procedures in the agreed formats.
  • Assist in BC plan roll-outs and maintain currency of continuity plans
  • Prepare test scripts and test plans in consultation with business and IT.
  • Participate actively in conducting BCP tests, record results and follow up.
  • Conduct DR gap analysis on assigned IT processes and systems.
  • Monitor periodically, the validity of the BC Plans & activity requirements and recommend plan updates.
  • Monitor and follow up on logistics & safety requirements for business continuity.
  • Facilitate and conduct various training programs for all staff on BCM roles & responsibilities, emergency response and incident escalation & management.
  • Facilitate Business Continuity tests.
  • Conduct Risk assessment on all critical resources which supports business deliveries.
  • Facilitate and participate actively in conducting BCP tests, record results and follow up.
  • Coordinate and ensure DR tests are done as per plan. Analyse gaps and ensure they are remediated by IT
  • Prepare incident reports and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate Emergency Evacuation Drills.
  • Conduct ‘Corrective Action & Preventive Action’ for all non-conformities raised in Internal Audit of BCMS for continual improvement.
  • Conduct ‘Corrective Action & Preventive Action’ following an incident for continual improvement.

 

Skills

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree/Diploma in Business Management or Information Technology or Equivalent Professional Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a reputed Bank, including minimum 2 years in specialized areas such as IT/Projects/Banking Operations/Risk Management/Audit etc.
  • Ability to facility and coordinate (Plan and control)
  • Good knowledge of Business Continuity Planning and technical IT
  • Good understanding of Banking and financial service processes.
