Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Auditor, who is a seasoned Credit Professional in Retail and Business banking, with in-depth exposure in Credit and Risk management in the UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in Internal Audits of Retail and Business Banking Business, departments and functions and contribute to the delivery of the annual audit plan by independently leading and participating in the execution of risk based Audits and performing ongoing business monitoring and risk assessments of assigned business areas.
  • Support the Senior Manager and provide third line of assurance over the internal control, risk management and governance framework, systems and processes for allocated business and risk areas.

Skills

  • Strong Subject knowledge on Credit assessments for Commercial, Retail and Business Banking business , Collections and provisions
  • Expert knowledge over multiple products, structure, segments and industries namely manufacturing, trading and services, contracting, real estate services, Infrastructure, project funding,
  • Thorough understanding of high value complex deals
  • Abreast of applicable laws and regulations, understands relevant industry trends and events, reviews management reporting
  • Knowledge of audit principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Experience of liaising, and building strong, credible & effective working relationships, with very senior stakeholders
  • Experience of leading audits / projects / initiatives and supervising and reviewing work of junior team members
  • Strong leadership, communication and excellent report writing skills.

Experience

  • 8 years senior level experience in Credit Risk Management covering segments such as Retail, Business and Commercial Banking divisions
  • In-depth understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle including policy & product development, sourcing & onboarding, underwriting (credit assessments and approvals), operations, monitoring (transaction, account and portfolio level) , Collections and Provisions
  • Excellent understanding of other areas related to Portfolio Management and Data Analytics
  • Experience of Retail and Business Banking Credit Risk Management and core banking applications like Moody’s Rating, Finacle, RLS , AECB, Central Bank  checks etc.

Certifications

ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA, CRC, CRMA, FRM and / or other risk management certification
