REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Senior Manager System Architecture

JOB PURPOSE:

• Develop and evolve the enterprise-wide data strategy to support the delivery of organizational objectives
• Building Data solution aligned with Target Data Architecture and implementation data architecture principles and standards within the bank.
• Architecting Customer Event Streaming , data contextualization and real-time analytics platform
• Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all the new strategic data initiatives and ensure alignment to the enterprise-wide data strategy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to build and contribute to data streaming platform  
• Championing a Data-as-an-Asset mindset across the group; training the team
• Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business-driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards
• Be an active contributor to how the bank evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards
• Define and design - Information infrastructure, information life cycle  associated to EMI
• Support third party data suppliers in developing specifications that are congruent with the Enterprise data architecture
• Build a framework of principles to ensure data quality, integrity across the business (including but not limited to Core, Payments, Digital Banking, Customer 360, BI, Data warehouse, external interfaces, etc.)
• Ensure that the Data Architecture strategy and roadmap are aligned to the business and technology strategies.
• Exploring data sources to understand whether they can add value to products
• Design platform that will improve data quality, metadata management, data governance and ensure driven by data principles
• Defining best practices and patterns for data ingestion and transformation
• Working with the data engineers to ingest, transform, and provision new data and contribute data architecture for digital analytics, real-time event sourcing, data contextualization, and running AI models.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Experience on Big Data platforms and distributed computing (e.g. Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Spark, HBase, CouchDB, Hive)
• Experience in Data Quality Assessment (profiling, anomaly detection) and data documentation (schema, dictionaries)
• Experience in data architecture, data warehousing and modelling techniques (Relational, ETL/ELT, and OLTP) and consider performance alternatives.
• Aware of cloud data platforms and building architecture that leverages the cloud.
• Experience of architecting data solutions across hybrid (cloud, on-premise) data platforms.
• Design short term resolutions to achieve all goals and prepare data roadmap for management.
• Determine procedure to identify and collect all required data, validate process and recommend improvements to corporate data.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, enabling easy interpretation and analysis of large volumes of data.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience implementing data solutions - metadata management, ETL, Data Quality, data lacks, big data, advanced analytics, data streaming, data visualization
• A comprehensive understanding of the principles of and best practices behind data engineering, and the supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience implementing data streaming platform  
• Experience of mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications A strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Engineering/MCA/Masters in Computer Science
• Data Architecture associated certification
• Minimum 8 years of experience
