Project Officer, Business Process Reengineering

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the BPR initiatives by liaising with business units to identify specific process improvement opportunities and propositions in order to enhance customer service, operational efficiency and revenue.

Accountabilities :

Process Re-engineering

• Support the identification reengineering roadmap of continuous process enhancement from stakeholders across Business, Operations and Support Services.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify challenges and prioritization of reengineering initiatives.

• Research best practices, industry benchmarks, other customer experiences and technology to enable process redesign.

• Identify technological solutions that permeate redesigned lean processes, moving away from legacy structures.

Governance

• Facilitate endorsement and necessary management approvals from the BPR Steering Committee to establish direction of all reengineering initiatives.

• Support the management of functional Working Committees for each processes / areas of evaluation for redesign / reengineering.

• Comply with the directions and approvals from Steering Committee as the primary governing body all process reengineering activities.

Compliance & Control

• Ensure that process changes / new processes comply with the Bank’s compliance standards, policies / procedures and regulatory requirements.

• The incorporation of effective controls framework for all revised processes and reengineering initiatives.

New Process Implementation

• Track progress updates of the implementation of approved initiatives.

• Ensure consistent communication and feedback loop between all stakeholders throughout the roll out of new processes.

• Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure that processes are integrated across the business and adopted correctly, preempting the Working and Steering Committees of challenges and proposal of solutions.

• Support the training and readiness of functional stakeholders of new processes to ensure that they are competent with the redesigned business process flows.

Skills

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Education level required:

Higher Diploma (UAE National)/ University Degree or Equivalent (Expat).

Experience:

Minimum 5 years relevant experience

Specialist Skills required for the Job :

• Oral Communication: Explains or presents factual information to individuals or groups in a structured, clear, confident and concise way avoiding the use of jargon. Explains the reasoning being what is being said to ensure understanding and acceptance.

• Written Communication: Produces clear and concise reports and other written material usually of a detailed and technical nature, which are understandable to those with or without a good knowledge of the subject matter.

• Analytical: Uses a wide range of analytical tools and techniques to identify issues/trends to provide recommendations and solutions.

• Procedure and Policy: A good knowledge of the relevant policies, practices, processes and procedures in own areas of responsibility. Where appropriate will have a good knowledge of the key relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements, technical interpretation and the ability to provide advice thereon
