Officer, Cards Business Intelligence & Portfolio Management

Job Description

We are looking for an Officer in Card Business who is responsible for managing the Business Intelligence function in Card Centre and for production / distribution of meaningful business MIS to management that would provide the basis for informed decisions on all aspects of the business.

Accountabilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations in the MIS Unit involving daily / weekly / monthly Business MIS to facilitate prudent risk management and identify opportunity / growth areas, by tracking and interpreting key business performance indicators and portfolio dynamics.

• Designing / developing comprehensive analytics for Cards to facilitate prudent Risk management of the card portfolio.

• Generate data for various Card related Marketing promotions and to analyse the effectiveness of such promotions. Analyse and report customer spends trends, opportunities for increasing profitability, decreasing attrition rates and achieve customer satisfaction.

• Developing card P&L plans and ensuring that the marketing strategy/plans make good commercial sense and deliver against the agreed budgeted plans.

• Channel feedback on credit policies, target segment, quality of acquisition, deviations to Branches and Sales, etc. on a regular basis.

• Accountable for initiating new campaign, identifying eligible customers, execution of campaign, communication to the customers by SMS and Email Campaigns, monitor campaign effectiveness and publish the campaign ROI.

• Generate MIS to track performance of various sales channels against budgets.

• Recommend and follow-up system change requests to meet changing business needs to improve data management & tools for improved analytical capability.

• Ensure that all data / MIS that are handled / produced by the unit are managed in a secure manner and as per the agreed service standards in accordance with established controls and procedures.

• Constantly monitor the performance of reporting staff and manage, motivate and train them to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of performance.

Skills

Education level required:

University degree or equivalent qualification.

Strong PC skills with knowledge of MS office, MS Access, and Report writing tools

Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in MIS reporting related functions in retail banking, preferably in credit cards with in-depth experience of report writing tools / analytics software like SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects etc. Knowledge of writing SQL queries is must.
