Job Purpose:
- Manage collections, recovery and litigation processes to optimize cost effective recovery of overdue payment and cash flow from provisions. To control net credit losses which directly impact the profitability of the business by achieving the budgeted provision losses in business banking segment including CBD, SME, ABF etc.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- To monitor and ensure recoveries for Commercial / SME borrowers are made as per the targets.
- To take over the delinquent cases from Commercial / SME business and manage them in co-ordination with Business/Credit.
- To discuss rescheduling of the outstanding with the customer, to prepare memos and recommendations to the management for approval.
- Thereafter, to ensure that the documentation is completed within the stipulated timelines and ensure payments are made as per the agreed terms.
- To conduct regular visits to the customer’s premises.
- To follow-up with the external teams - lawyers, debt collection agencies, police stations to follow up on cases.
- To prepare regular reports (MIS) for the Board and the Management
- To ensure compliance with CBUAE guidelines, internal policies and procedures.
Skills
Education Level Required:
- University degree or Equivalent qualification. Degree diploma in law will be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years banking work experience of which at least 4 years must be related to assets business.
Specialist skills required for the job:
- Good understanding of wholesale banking products.
- Good negotiation, networking & leadership skills
- High standard of oral and written bilingual communication skills
- Good Knowledge of local legal and regulatory procedures for lending and debt recovery
